ACCELERATED READER BOOK FINDER
    1. Click on the link or copy the following URL into your Internet Browser: http://www.arbookfind.com
    2. LOGIN as Student
    3. At the "School code" enter: TR607200. There will be a red YES after "Book Available" if it is a title we have in our library. Hit "GO" (not Enter)
    4. Select the tab on the right labeled Teacher Lists and choose the appropriate list for your assignment.
    5. Lists may be sorted by Title, Author, or Reading Level in the drop-down menu on the right.
    6. Titles you are considering may be added to the Book Bag and printed out, but be aware that this list is deleted when you log off.
    7. You may wish to search the entire database because we now subscribe to all the quizzes and you may obtain the books at another library or store. Ask your teacher in advance to find out if it is approved for your class.

    Great for school assignments, this is a PORTAL with indexed sites that have been evaluated by librarians and judged reliable and useful. I recommend you start here.
    Los Angeles Public Library
    The variety of free resources available here are amazing:

    Search the entire LAPL collection online to find books on your subject and see which branches have them and if they are checked out. You can place a reserve or order a book delivered to your local branch;

    Borrow audio books and even videos and listen or watch online or download to an MP3 player or your computer -- everything from a Cal Ripken video on baseball skills to Hamlet to Algebra;

    Try "Teen Web" then "Homework Help" to use databases online(some require your LAPL card number), and find dozens of helpful links organized by subject;

    Get online live tutoring;

    Search for photographs by topic;

    You can apply for a library card at any branch. A parent or guardian signature is required if you are under 18, otherwise a photo identification such as driver's license.
