The numbers 7-8-9-10-11-12 following the course description indicate the grades in which these courses are generally taken. Final placement in English, foreign language, science, and mathematics courses will be determined by the school on the basis of scores on Admission Tests and/or grade in previously taken courses in that subject area.

Life Science
An introductory course into the biological sciences. Prereq.=none (7-8)

Physical Science
A survey of the physical sciences (particularly chemistry and physics) and a study of tools, techniques, skills, and terminology used in the sciences. Prereq.=none (9-12)

Biology
A laboratory science studying in detail the basic principles and concepts of biology, biological chemistry, environmental studies, heredity, human anatomy and physiology. Prereq.=none (9-12)

Chemistry
A laboratory science studying in detail the basic principles and concepts of chemistry, periodic relationships, chemical bonding, structure, dynamics and analysis. Prereq.=completion of Chemistry with a minimum grade of C (11-12)

Physics
A practical study of physics, including classical mechanics, waves and sound, light, optics, electricity, magnetism, properties of matter, relativity theory, atomic and nuclear physics, and selected other topics. Prereq.=completion of Chemistry with a minimum grade of C (11-12)

Anatomy/Physiology
Course will include physiology and human anatomy with an emphasis in health related fields. Prereq.=completion of Chemistry with a minimum grade of C (11-12)

Advanced Placement Biology
A laboratory class of advanced biological concepts. Students may take the AP test for college credit.
