Dear Parent/Guardian:

Your student should now be planning for their new life journey following high school. Have they started? Have you started? While it may seem at long way from now, this is the time to begin. At L.A. Lutheran we want to make the transition as smooth as possible for next year’s seniors.

The L.A. Lutheran counselors have developed a presentation on March 11, 2010 for you and your student to help prepare for the upcoming transition. We will give you a month by month list of many items that both you and they will need to complete as well as what will be happening at LAL for their graduation. Some of the topics included:

• PSAT and studying for the SAT

• SAT schedule & registration

• Selective Service Registration

• Co-curricular Activities

• EFC (Expected Family Contribution)

• College Applications

• High School Transcripts

• College Requirements

• Community College Options

• FASFA

• Cal Grants

• College Web cites

• Caps and Gowns

• Graduation procedures

We will talk about these and others issues to try and make their senior year as smooth as possible so bring your questions!!!

All junior parents and juniors are encouraged to attend to learn about requirements for high school graduation and college entrance.

The program begins at 7:00 p.m. and is expected to end at 8:30 p.m. in room #17.
